Dressage Coaching & Competition
Ethical dressage training with Vicky Walling, offering freelance training, clinics, and competition coaching in the Ottawa area.
A lifelong equestrian, I have dedicated my career to the development of dressage through extensive experience as a working student and assistant trainer across North America. I am an FEI rider who has trained many of my own horses, and an Equestrian Canada Certified Competition Coach. Based in the Ottawa area, I freelance offering lessons, training, and clinics, while pursuing ambitious competitive goals at both the national and international level.
Training Philosophy
My training philosophy is rooted in ethical horsemanship, where the horse's well-being is always the priority. By building on classical basics and focusing on correctness, I work with each horse and rider to develop confident, willing partnerships capable of reaching their full performance potential. Above all, I believe the process should be enjoyable for both horse and rider.
Our Farm
Although primarily offering freelance services off site, the Walling Dressage team is located in the Ottawa area on a private residence, where Vicky Walling focuses on training her competition team full time.

A 2016 Hanoverian gelding that I imported from Europe in 2025 who I've shown through 3rd level and hope to dance in the FEI levels with soon.
A 2019 Westfalen mare that I imported from Europe in 2025 who I've shown through 2nd level and feel very hopeful about the future.
A 2010 Oldenburg gelding and my "main" guy, my small tour competitor, and my heart horse. I owe my medals and start as a true professional to him.
A 2008 Can WB gelding who I've owned since his weaning. I trained and competed him through 3rd level myself with much success. He now enjoys working with my students.
A 2023 Glamdale x De Niro x Ferro Hanoverian colt who I imported and plan on starting in 2026.
A 2023 Escanto x Belissimo x Rubinstein Oldenburg colt who I imported and plan on starting in 2026.
My very senior paint horse cross gelding who's been in our family for 25 years. He's the soul of the farm and still loves being ridden.
